On Tuesday 22 March 2016, the UCT Law Faculty hosted a panel discussion on Law and Social Justice. Panelists included Dean Penny Andrews, Athalia Molokomme (Attorney-General of Botswana) and Navi Pillay (Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights). Silvia Fernandez de Gurmendi (President of the ICC) gave the welcome address at the cocktail function.

The Administrative Justice Association of South Africa convened for a conference in February 2016. The Honourable Former Constitutional Court Justice, Zak Yacoob, was the Keynote Speaker. He spoke on rationality review, the separation of powers and the rule of law.
